These offcuts are from a professional tufter based in Yorkshire who specialises in carpets for stately homes and palaces, and so rarely has use for smaller pieces
The offcuts are all photographed so study them carefully, the sizes are generous, as in you will get at least the usable size listed. If the edges have glue or have been stretched by the gripper rods then those sections are not included in the measurements, if they are an odd shape with a corner missing, then only usable rectangle is measured. Note that the lines in the material are every 50cm, so you can see in the photos if the size will fit your needs.
With equal warp and weft this makes the perfect punching backing. It is made of 100% polyester so is not affected by humidity changes whilst stretched on your frame like cotton backing fabrics

An even weave of 70 ends and 70 picksfrom spun polyester yarn singles 5.6 Nm in warp and weft. Stripes in both warp and weft at 50 cm intervals. Tuck in selvedges. 266 grams per square metre. Developed for the Hofmann VML16 tufting gun and suitable for all tufting guns with similar needle size of 6 mm
266grams per sq metre = 70/70 = 70 threads per 4 inches both in the vertical and horizontal
