Whipping / Overedging Machines

Often referred to as Whipping in the UK and Serging in the States, overedging is a process of wrapping a yarn round the edge of carpets, rugs, runners and mats to prevent fraying and create a clean edge and finish. Carpet remnants and off cuts can be converted and recycled into useable mats and runners. In applications where carpets need to be capable of being removed such as car mats, caravans, campers, yachts and boats, then overedging prevents fraying and unravelling.
